About Shawn Neely
Shawn Neely is the owner and CEO of Musketeer Mortgage, LLC. He served in the United States Army for over 22 years achieving the rank of SFC (E-7) before going to Officer Candidate School (OCS). He retired as a Major and was hired as an Operations Manager at Amazon where he helped streamline their reverse logistics operations. He is a graduate of Regis University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and NC State University where he earned a Masters degree in English. He graduated from both programs summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA. His Masters degree was put to use teaching English at The United States Military Academy at West Point. Shawn’s work ethic is second to none, and his attention to detail honed by years in the military serves him, his clients, and his realtor partners very well in the mortgage industry.

Originally from Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, I proudly served in the U.S. Army for 34 years, retiring as a Command Sergeant Major. After my retirement from Fort Knox, my love for the area and its communities inspired my family and me to make Vine Grove, Kentucky our forever home. Here, alongside my wife Heather and our two sons, Hunter and Benjamin, we’ve rooted ourselves deeply.
My military career taught me the value of uncompromising teamwork and a results-oriented approach—qualities I bring to every mortgage consultation. I specialize in a variety of mortgage solutions including VA, FHA, and conventional loans, as well as refinancing options and Home Equity Lines of Credit.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Columbia Southern University, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 3.9 GPA. This academic achievement underscores my commitment to excellence and strategic thinking, ensuring that I serve my clients with both knowledge and integrity.
As a member of the Elizabethtown Post 113 American Legion, I continue to serve and volunteer, extending my dedication to community and country into every local endeavor. An avid outdoor enthusiast, I also find balance and refreshment in the natural beauty of Kentucky’s landscapes, which fuels my enthusiasm in every professional interaction.
